Christine L. Grogan — Founder/Chairperson
Vice President Marketing, Acelity
As the founder of BRAVE Coalition Foundation, Christine puts to work over 22 years of healthcare experience. She has held positions in professional and consumer marketing, and sales management at Acelity, Allergan, Pfizer, Parke Davis, and Eli Lilly. Christine manages brands relating to specialty pharma, plastic surgery (breast reconstruction and liposuction) and various medical device areas.
Christine has been dedicated to healthcare advocacy for decades. She is a past board member of Flying Doctors/AMREF, former board member of Pink Ribbon Story Foundation, former co-president of Beta Foster Care Orange County, board member of RJW Foundation and a volunteer for African Child Foundation.
Marie Czenko — President
President & CEO, Beauty Think Tank
As President, Marie oversees grant applications for local reconstruction group charities that are congruent with educating women about their rights and addressing needs around restoration.
Marie has more than 20 years of healthcare experience, consulting with dermatology and plastic surgery practices in the areas of financial analysis, practice valuations and development, marketing, leadership training and team building. Prior to joining the Allergan Practice Consulting Group, Marie worked as a public education specialist with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Allen Gabriel, M.D. — Chief Medical Advisory Chair
Plastic Surgeon & Pink Lemonade Founder
Plastic surgeon Dr. Allen Gabriel has made it his life mission to help women feel whole and strong. An international speaker on breast aesthetic surgery, Dr. Gabriel has authored more than three dozen abstracts in peer-reviewed publications. He was involved in House Bill 1101 for reconstruction rights legislation and also visits Haiti every year to provide medical care to women with his organization The Gift of Lift.
In 2001, Dr. Gabriel joined the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program at Loma Linda University. While there, he volunteered on a medical mission to Ethiopia with Operation Good Samaritan. In 2007, Dr. Gabriel was selected by world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell to enter a Breast and Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship in conjunction with Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Gabriel holds a B.S. from the University of Utah in Chemistry and a medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Leslie Kivi — Board Member
Leslie is a creative extrovert who is passionate about empowering others. She is also a 15 year Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor. This unique perspective brings insight into the depth and breadth of the challenges faced by someone throughout the lifecycle of cancer; diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.
Byrdie Lifson Pompan — Board Member
CEO & Co-Founder, Clear Health Advisors LLC
Byrdie has had a lifelong career in client service and advocacy. For 20 years, she was an agent and partner at Creative Artists Agency, the world’s leading entertainment and sports agency. Ultimately, a deeply personal journey awoke her passion about the issues surrounding patients’ needs and health care quality. She partnered with Dr. Valerie Ulene to launch Clear Health Advisors, which helps people with complex medical issues receive the medical care they require.
Marie-Francoise Harris — Board Member
Director of Upstream Marketing, Plastic and Regenerative Medicine, LifeCell Corporation, an Allergan Affiliate
Marie–Francoise brings to BRAVE Coalition over 20 years of healthcare marketing and management experience. She has held positions in professional and patient marketing and has extensive experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery from LifeCell/ Allergan, Mentor, Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson. As the Director of Upstream Marketing for LifeCell Corporation/Allergan, she is responsible for creating and leading the strategic development of innovative fat grafting solutions aimed at assisting surgeons in improving aesthetic outcomes in breast reconstruction, reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. Her knowledge of the breast reconstruction market will be essential in her role as a BRAVE Board Member.
M. Natalie Achong, M.D., MHL — Board Member
Physician Executive & Leader, Population Health, Home Equity
Dr. M. Natalie Achong is a passionate believer that disruptive innovation in healthcare requires culturally informed care to effect quality improvement and to enhance continuity of treatment. Described as a “physician catalyst,” Achong has been the primary contributor to groundbreaking projects in population health and healthcare disparities at Connecticut’s healthcare systems. Truly an advocate by nature, some have come to rely on her to make sure all points and points of view are being brought to attention.
Clayton Daniells — Board Member
CEO & Executive Creative Director, QooQoo
Clay is a long-standing advertising creative and management professional with over 25 years of experience creating, growing and managing brands for pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics manufacturers. As a founder of QooQoo, he brings a deep understanding of brand engagement and experiential marketing to the digital space. In addition to his work at QooQoo, Clay devotes himself to suicide prevention and is actively involved in the Chrohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Stacey Benseler, J.D., MHL — Board Member
Senior Director, Government Services - Medicare Regulatory Affairs - CVS Health
Stacey is a senior leader with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, in both government markets and commercial development, strategy and marketing.
As the Senior Director of Government Services – Medicare Regulatory Affairs, Stacey is responsible for leading CVS Health’s regulatory influencing efforts; as well as, the interpretation, implementation, and communication of processes required to support CVS Health’s Medicare lines of business. Stacey is responsible for all Medicare regulatory deliverables associated with the release of proposed, pending, and final regulations.
Stacey has previously served as a Board Member for both St. Mary’s Family Respite Center (a Respite center for families affect by HIV) and the West Chester Area Senior Center; she is an active supporter of local healthcare community initiatives, often speaking on such topics as, Medicare and Medicaid Planning, Affordable Care Act impacts, and how to determine the appropriate healthcare coverage to meet their needs.
