Christine L. Grogan — Founder/Chairperson

Vice President Marketing, KCI

As the founder of BRAVE Coalition Foundation, Christine puts to work over 22 years of healthcare experience. She has held positions in professional and consumer marketing, and sales management at Acelity, Allergan, Pfizer, Parke Davis, and Eli Lilly. Christine manages brands relating to specialty pharma, plastic surgery (breast reconstruction and liposuction) and various medical device areas.

Christine has been dedicated to healthcare advocacy for decades. She is a past board member of Flying Doctors/AMREF, former board member of Pink Ribbon Story Foundation, former co-president of Beta Foster Care Orange County, board member of RJW Foundation and a volunteer for African Child Foundation.

Marie Czenko — President

Allergan Practice Consultant

As President, Marie oversees public education and grant applications for local reconstruction group charities that are congruent with educating women about their rights and addressing needs around restoration. Marie’s ultimate goal is that every woman find a both a cure and the support and restoration she and her loved ones need to feed whole again.

Marie has more than 25 years of healthcare experience, consulting with dermatology and plastic surgery practices in the areas of financial analysis, practice valuations and development, marketing, leadership training and team building. Prior to joining the Allergan Practice Consulting Group in 2014, Marie provided strategic guidance to physicians and medical associations in the aesthetic space, and served as a retained expert for media organizations such as ABC television networks on subjects related to plastic surgery and breast restoration.

Katie Holmes — Executive Director

Katie Holmes is BRAVE’s Executive Director. Katie has a passion to help women who are struggling to make a decision for their best self, post breast cancer. She is a breast cancer survivor herself and can relate to those specific challenges women face following a diagnosis. Katie has a background working with nonprofits and community organizations for twenty plus years and is glad to put that experience to work for BRAVE and the women who need us.

M. Natalie Achong, M.D., MHL — Board Member

Physician Executive & Leader, Population Health, Home Equity

Dr. M. Natalie Achong is a passionate believer that disruptive innovation in healthcare requires culturally informed care to effect quality improvement and to enhance continuity of treatment. Described as a “physician catalyst,” Achong has been the primary contributor to groundbreaking projects in population health and healthcare disparities at Connecticut’s healthcare systems. Truly an advocate by nature, some have come to rely on her to make sure all points and points of view are being brought to attention.

Clayton Daniells — Board Member

CEO & Executive Creative Director, QooQoo

Clay is a long-standing advertising creative and management professional with over 25 years of experience creating, growing and managing brands for pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics manufacturers. As a founder of QooQoo, he brings a deep understanding of brand engagement and experiential marketing to the digital space. In addition to his work at QooQoo, Clay devotes himself to suicide prevention and is actively involved in the Chrohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Ellie Evans — Board Member

Supports BRAVE Volunteers and Events

Ellie Evans is one of BRAVE’s newest members who has a passion for helping women with breast cancer. She graduated from Texas State University in 2017 with a Bachelors in Health and Wellness Promotion. She has experience in Marketing and Medical Education in the medical device field. She has a particular passion for helping women suffering from the psychological effects of breast cancer and wants to help improve patient quality of life. She is cultivating her passion by leading patient research and social media efforts with BRAVE. In her research she hopes to find ways to better reach women to make more informed decisions about their body.

Anita Feinstein — Board Member

Group Manager, US Marketing, KCI

Anita has been in Sales, Marketing and Event Planning for the last 13 years. She has been recognized as a top performer with Marriott and KCI. Working in the wound care industry, she is bringing awareness and education to clinicians and patients about the importance of Incision Management. She has volunteered and partnered with numerous organizations in New York, NY and San Antonio, TX to help raise awareness and fundraising.

Leah Griffin — Board Member

Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research, KCI

Leah has a Masters in Biology and a Masters in Statistics and is currently Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research at KCI. Her career began as a Biostatistician for Wake Forest University School of Medicine where she worked on public health research studies as well as physician directed outcomes research. This led Leah to focus on evidence based medicine with an emphasis on decisions at all levels to be based on data. She has authored and co-authored several manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals in multiple areas of medicine. As a board member for BRAVE, one focus is to ensure that medical decisions are made with complete and correct information.

Marie-Francoise Harris — Board Member

Director of Upstream Marketing, Plastic and Regenerative Medicine, LifeCell Corporation, an Allergan Affiliate

MarieFrancoise brings to BRAVE Coalition over 20 years of healthcare marketing and management experience. She has held positions in professional and patient marketing and has extensive experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery from LifeCell/ Allergan, Mentor, Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson. As the Director of Upstream Marketing for LifeCell Corporation/Allergan, she is responsible for creating and leading the strategic development of innovative fat grafting solutions aimed at assisting surgeons in improving aesthetic outcomes in breast reconstruction, reconstructive and aesthetic  procedures. Her knowledge of the breast reconstruction market will be essential in her role as a BRAVE Board Member.

Andria Johnson — Board Member

Michael Schlamp — Board Member

Consultant, Biotech Commercialization, Aquest Consulting Inc.

Mike has more than 15 years of experience in biopharma commercialization and business development on both the industry side (Actelion, NeurogesX, Acologix) and the consulting side (ZS Associates). He has experience in commercial strategy, market research, forecasting, launch planning, and reimbursement planning for a range of programs from in-line to pre-IND. He has assisted companies ranging from Fortune 100 Big Pharmas to private biotechs across a wide range of therapeutic areas (including, CNS, pain (acute and neuropathic), cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, immunology, asthma/ COPD, nephrology, oncology, neurodegenerative disease, gastroenterology, osteoporosis, and ultra-orphan). Mike has a BS from MIT and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.

Christopher Higgins — Ambassador

Supports BRAVE Volunteers and Events

Christopher Higgins is a young Human Resources Professional, who has attained a track record of success beginning in his early college years. Christopher graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2015 with a degree in Business Administration and Management and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Business Administration in Finance at the University of Houston – Clear Lake.

Aside from Christopher’s fulltime job as a Human Resources professional at Acelity, he is involved in a number of reputable organizations such as Feeding America, Communities in School, Day of Caring, and the Lambda Chi Alpha Alumni Advisory Board. Our mission is one that hits home for Christopher, as his grandmother battled and survived breast cancer in the late 90’s. Christopher joins the BRAVE Coalition Foundation with a deep desire to help educate and provide hope for those who have been a victim of Breast Cancer.
